The same clip. Three ways to leave.

Transcript

Captions, without the caption work.

Feather listens, detects the spoken language on its own, and writes subtitles onto your video. Pick one of three ready-made looks. There's no fiddly caption editor to learn.

Automatic language detection

Feather recognises the spoken language for you, so there is nothing to choose.

Video + .srt transcript

Export the subtitled video, and download the transcript as an .srt file.

Translate

One video. A wider audience.

Feather detects the original language, then adds subtitles in the language you choose, burned onto the same video. The original audio stays exactly as it was; this is subtitles, not dubbing. Open the caption editor to do it now.

Choose from 85 languages

Source detected for you; pick the target from Feather's supported list.

Video + .srt translation

Same three presets. Export the subtitled video and the translated .srt file.

Subtitle presets

Three looks. One tap.

Transcript and Translate share the same three subtitle presets: pick one and Feather applies it.

All three are shown on a real clip, at the size the subtitles are rendered. The look you pick applies to Transcript and Translate alike.

Free to download. Pay only to render.

Original downloads are free. Transcript and Translate use rendering, paid with Feathers, or get a rendering allowance on a Falcon or Eagle plan. Your Feathers work across Feather.

FAQ

Questions about the X Video Downloader.

Is it free to download X videos?
Yes. Downloading the original video is free and has no watermark. You can try it without an account, up to a limit; after that a free Sparrow account gives you a daily allowance. Transcript and Translate use Feathers, included as a rendering allowance on a Falcon or Eagle plan, or bought on their own.
What do I paste in?
Paste the link to an X (Twitter) post that contains a video. Feather finds the video inside the post and downloads it for you, so you don't need a direct video-file link.
What are Transcript and Translate?
Transcript adds subtitles in the video's original language; Translate adds them in a language you choose. Feather detects the source language automatically, you pick one of three subtitle presets, and you get the video with burned-in subtitles plus a separate .srt file (transcript or translation) to download.
Which languages can I translate into?
85 languages, from Afrikaans to Zulu, including Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Turkish, Hindi, Indonesian and Korean. Pick your target from the searchable list. The spoken language is detected for you, so there is nothing to set on the source side.
Does Translate dub the audio?
No. Translate adds translated subtitles onto the video. The original audio stays exactly as it is. It is not dubbed or revoiced.
How is this different from Tweet Screenshot?
This tool downloads, transcribes and translates the video itself. Tweet Screenshot takes the same kind of X post and designs a social post around the video using Feather templates, and it doesn't transcribe or translate. Same source, different goal.

Download it. Transcribe it. Translate it.

Paste your first X post and grab the video free: no account, no watermark.
